1. The car sags after parking
The clearest sign of a leak. One or two centimetres over 12 hours is normal; more means a leak.
2. The compressor runs more than usual
The most important sign of all. It's compensating for a leak, and if you leave it, it burns out and you pay twice.
3. A suspension message that appears cold and clears warm
The classic cracked-air-spring pattern — rubber contracts when cold and the crack opens.
4. Visible height difference side to side
Measure ground to arch on both sides. More than a centimetre of difference deserves a look.
5. A suddenly harsh ride
Can mean a failed internal damper or — on systems like AHC — accumulators that have lost their charge.
6. Hissing at the wheel
A faint hiss when you push down on the car confirms a leaking spring.
7. The car takes longer to rise
Points to a weakening compressor or a leak bleeding pressure during the fill.
If you notice any of these, early inspection is far cheaper than a late repair — especially with the compressor, where the difference between catching it early and burning it out is over a hundred dinars.
