The type of fault
A cracked air spring, a leaking valve block, a height sensor or a burnt-out compressor each cost something completely different. Most cases cost less than a complete strut.
Make and model
Range Rover, Mercedes and Porsche parts usually cost more than some American models, and a complete strut differs from the air spring alone.
Repair or replace
A weak compressor can sometimes be saved with a rebuild kit; a burnt-out one needs replacing. You get both prices and the difference explained.
Part tier
Genuine dealer, OEM from the same factory, or a trusted aftermarket brand — three different prices, and you choose.
Linked faults
A small untreated leak may already have burnt the compressor or saturated the dryer. Proper diagnosis finds the whole chain at once.
